Metahdone and IV Sedation for dental surgery?
Hi all,
I hope someone can help me with this one. I was an addict to Oxy-Contin and i am now sober since May 21, 2005. I am in a Methadone Maintence program since May/05 and i am now on 62mg of methadone a day. I am in the process of decreasing my dose monthly. anyways, i am due to have Dental Surgery Tommorow morning to have 8 Extractions. The dentist will be using IV Sedation. Is this safe while being prescribed and on methadone. I am unable to contact my Doctor today to get his opinion. Please Help. Will everything be ok,.,.
