Period of delay could be caused by antibiotics?
I'm Caitlyn and I have a question. I took birth control for almost eight years. I stopped taking it 2 years ago. I have developed life-threatening side effects. Since then, my girlfriend and I have been using condoms. My period was always regular cycles of 29 days. I know I have multiple cysts on my ovaries but my gynecologist said that at this stage are not a concern. My last period was November 21. I december19th had my period but so far no trace of her. I had to take a period of three antibiotics are about 2 weeks to prevent infection after dental surgery. Usually suffer from premenstrual syndrome (chocolate sculptures, breast tenderness, bloating, spots before my period). Not I have nothing to date I have only to go to the bathroom more. I did a pregnancy test was negative. Could my period be delayed because the antibiotic? My gynecologist is closed until January 14 so I do not know what to do. My girlfriend and her mother are excited. How reliable are pregnancy tests?
The odds are not antibiotics. In fact, recent research shows no correlation with pregnancy while on BC pills and antibiotics. It could be just the stress of life. RN
